The Eighth Parasitology Summer Course (VIII ParSCo) Will Be Held in Iran on June of 2021
VIII ParSCo: Announcement
The Eastern Mediterranean Region VIII Parasitology Summer Course, which will be held in Tehran and Isfahan has been postponed to 8–17 June 2021.
This course has been organized by the TUMS School of Public Health, the Iran Ministry of Health's Center for Infectious Diseases, the Institute of Pasteur of Iran, the European College of Parasitology, Bari University of Italy and the World Health Organization Regional Office aiming at increasing transboundary collaboration within EMRO and with young parasitologists from anywhere with the specific goal to promote the concept of One Health.
The curriculum has been designed and specifically tailored to the Eastern Mediterranean Region, and will be focusing on arthropod-borne parasites. 30-40% of the topics of the International Summer Course on Parasitology will be theoretical and 60-70% practical, and fifteen Iranian professors, mostly from TUMS, will be teaching in the International Summer Course of Parasitology. In addition, a group of European and South American professors will attend this scientific gathering.
The registration fee for participants is €1000; however, this fee will be waved for talented applicants from neighboring countries of Iran. A call for new applications will be opened in September 2020. Course applicants are requested to complete the provided registration form, include a CV, a motivation letter and a recent passport photo, and send them to the Organizing Committee at firstname.lastname@example.org. Then, the applications will be assessed and the selection of participants will be made.
