DESCRIPTION:Based on agreement between Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and European Union officials, and further to the final program arranged between the two institutions, it was planned to discuss about the potential fields of joint cooperation in several meetings.

In order to discuss the educational and research areas of collaboration between Iranian universities and European universities, a delegation of officials of European universities with the supervision of EU will travel to Iran on 2nd of July from 19:00 to 22:30.

DESCRIPTION:Tehran University of Medical Sciences gets involved into the Cotutelle PhD Program.

Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) announces its involvement into the Cotutelle PhD Program which is a joint supervision of a doctorate candidate and finally leads into dual degree certificates upon the successful completion of the program.

To introduce the know-hows of this program, the Directorate of International Relations, Accreditation and Ranking has prepared an Open Call Session on Monday December 4th, 2017 (13 Azar) on the 9th Floor of TUMS Central Building, Keshavarz Boulevard, Tehran, Iran. Interested TUMS current and future PhD students and professors are invited to attend the event.

It is worth mentioning that in addition to the introduction of Cotutelle PhD Program, the prestigious scholarship to do a Cotutelle PhD Program in Macquarie University, Australia is also announced.

SUMMARY:Exchange Opportunity for TUMS Student
DESCRIPTION:The call for applications for Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility-KA107 is now open.

Erasmus+ offers opportunities for students to study in higher education institutions (HEIs) beyond Europe.&nbsp; It also makes the same opportunities available for students from countries beyond Europe to come to participating HEIs in Europe. This is known as International Credit Mobility (ICM) and this is an activity under Key Action 1 (KA107).

Under this Mobility, one TUMS B.Sc. student is able to study at University of Almeria, Spain for 5 months, for which 12 credits will be obtained. After the mobility phase, the student return to its sending institution to complete his/her studies and get recognition for the obtained credits. All TUMS B.Sc. students (at least) in their second year of studies in the field of Nursing at school of Nursing and Midwifery, are welcome to apply for this position. Mobility student will receive a grant as a contribution to their costs for travel and subsistence during the period of study and an amount to support them in covering their travel costs.

Student mobility should start in the first semester of Academic Year 2018/2019 according to the University of Almer&iacute;a Academic Calendar (From 17th of September 2018 to 8th February 2019).

The deadline for nomination is June 15, 2018 and for applications will be June 30, 2018.

Student who will be selected:


	
	must be enrolled at least in the second year of their studies
	
	
	should not have done more than 7 months of Erasmus + or Erasmus Mundus mobility before
	
	
	should hold a B1 certificate of Spanish or English proficiency
	
	
	must choose courses in belonging to their area. The offer of courses in English is limited, student should consider it before he/she accept the scholarship.
	
	
	must be willing to enroll at UAL for at least 12 ECTS (three courses)

SUMMARY:Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) Workshop at School of Rehabilitation
DESCRIPTION:TUMS School of Rehabilitation aims to hold a workshop on Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) on 14th and 15th January, 2019.

The instructor of the workshop is Professor Michael Andreas Nitsche, Scientific Director of the Department of Psychology and Neurosciences at Leibniz Research Center. He is a visiting professor at the Department of Speech Therapy of the School of Rehabilitation and has academic collaboration with this School.

He is also holding a session on &ldquo;Basic and Functional Effects of Transcranial Direct Stimulation (tDCS)&rdquo; for faculty members and postgraduate students of School of Rehabilitation on 13th&nbsp;January, 2019.
