SUMMARY:Call for Application for Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Program
DESCRIPTION:About the Erasmus+ Program

The European Commission has established an initiative program called Erasmus+. The program is to fund mobilities among EU countries and between EU countries and Partner Countries from the rest of the world. This program has been set up for the period 2014-2022 and, a new call for proposals will be open every year in order to promote socio-economic changes, the key challenges that Europe will be facing until the end of the decade, and to support the fulfilment of the Europe 2020 strategy for growth, jobs, social equity and inclusion.

Although the Erasmus program was initially earmarked only to the Program Countries (EU), in 2015, for the first time, part of the EU funding was allocated for mobility actions between Program Countries and Partner Countries. In this regard, the Erasmus+ Program is planned to support efforts of Program Countries to efficiently use the potential of Europe’s human talent and social capital, while confirming the principle of lifelong learning by linking support to formal, non-formal and informal learning throughout the education, training and youth fields. The program also enhances the opportunities for cooperation and mobility with Partner Countries, notably in the fields of higher education and youth.

SUMMARY:Call for Application for Erasmus+ International Teaching Mobility Program
DESCRIPTION:About the Erasmus+ Program

Erasmus+ is a program that offers opportunities for students and staff to study and teach in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) beyond Europe. It also makes the same opportunities available for students and staff from non-European countries to come to participate in HEIs in Europe. This is known as International Credit Mobility (ICM), which is an activity under Key Action 1 (KA107).

General Information

This call for application is made in accordance with the framework of Erasmus + Key Action 1 Mobility Projects in the Field of Education, Training and Youth between Program and Partner Countries. This action aims to contribute to the cooperation between the EU and eligible Partner Countries and reflects the EU external action objectives, priorities and principles.

This Erasmus+ Action 1 project between the University of Granada (UGR) and Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) provides an opportunity for teaching staff to spend a period at University of Granada (UGR) and receiving a grant as a contribution to their costs for travel and subsistence.

Applicants are expected to carefully read all the information before proceeding to fulfill and submit their applications.

Type of Mobility, Number of Grants, Duration, and Deadline

Under this Mobility and for this call, one TUMS academic staff member can teach at UGR for 5 days and at least 8 hours. After the mobility phase, the academic staff member returns to TUMS.

Mobility must be completed before end of July 31st, 2026. Academic staff could carry out their mobility anytime, as long as there is a professor at UGR willing to receive them during their stay.

The deadline for submission of the documents to the Directorate of International Relations is March 20th, 2025.

All TUMS academic staff are welcome to apply for this position. Please check the University of Granada’s website or follow the below link to know about the possible areas of knowledge for this mobility.

https://www.ugr.es/en/study/

Please pay attention to the following points.

Number of mobility offered: 1 staff mobility for teaching

Duration of mobility: 5 activity days + 2 travel days.

Selected staff members will need to fill in a Mobility Agreement (UGR will send it to them after they are selected and have found a professor at UGR willing to receive them and work with them), stating their plan for the activities days. For teaching mobility, 8 teaching hours need to be arranged with UGR.

Selected staff member will need to take an accident and emergency insurance that covers the duration of their mobility, UGR requires the On-campus insurance for their extensive coverage (https://oncampus.es/seguros/oncampus-pdipas/)

Every mobility should have the possibility of academic recognition.

Funding

Selected participants will receive a grant as a contribution towards travel and subsistence expenses during their stay at UGR. Detailed information on the scholarship and travel allowances will be provided upon selection.

Admission Requirements
