Program Description:

In the past 40 years, due to rapid development of science and technology, orthopedic surgery has gradually moved toward specialization and graduates in this field tend to acquire more knowledge and competencies in one or more related fields. For this reason, many fellowship programs have been instituted in this field across the world and subsequently relevant subspecialized associations have been formed. The modern facilities and technologies gradually limit arthrotomy for ligament, meniscal and cartilaginous lesions. Furthermore, enormous development has been created in joint replacement. Although non-invasive methods started in Iran a decade ago, the urgent need mandates organizing specialized activities.
