Biography:

Tianyuan Yu, male, born in 1965. He is a doctor of the basic science of integrated traditional and western medicine, a third-class professor, chief physician, and doctoral supervisor at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. He is a distinguished professor at the Beijing Union University, a TCM instructor and special clinical expert of the Health Commission of Chaoyang District, Beijing, He is also in charge of the key discipline "Tuina Discipline " of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the dual-class discipline "Tuina Discipline " of the Ministry of Education, and the dual-class curriculum "Tuina Discipline ". In addition, he is an evaluation expert of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Ministry of Education, and some provinces' Natural Science Foundation.

Professor Yu is mainly engaged in the teaching, scientific research, clinical work of the Tuina, Traditional Chinese Medical Traumatology, Acupuncture and Moxibustion.

Professor Yu's main research direction is on the mechanism of Tuina in the treatment of eripheral nerve injury and the antipyretic mechanism of pediatric Tuina. He has successively presided 6 projects of NSFC, 2 projects for the Ministry of Science and Technology, 3 for the Beijing Natural Science Foundation, 2 for the doctoral degree, 4 for the provincial or ministerial education, and 18 projects for the university. He has also participated in 3 projects of NSFC.

Professor Yu has edited 11 national and industry teaching materials, published 160 scientific papers, 14 SCI papers, 43 online papers on Sciencepaper Online, more than 100 academic works, and compiled 5 standards. He trained 74 postgraduate students and 19 doctoral students. He has also obtained 3 new utility patents and 1 invention patent.
