OPATEL Begins Third International Workshop Hosted by the Virtual School

OPATEL’s third international workshop, hosted by the Virtual School, began its course in collaboration with the office of Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs and with the participation of European and Iranian partners of the project, including university representatives from Germany, Greece, Portugal, Iraq, and Iran.
OPATEL Begins Third International Workshop Hosted by the Virtual School

The OPATEL workshop began on 2nd December, 2018 with the participation of representatives from European and Asian countries, with concentration on e-learning education at the Virtual School.

OPATEL is a project of Erasmus Plus, which is funded by the European Union, in which 13 universities from Germany, Greece, Portugal, Iraq, and Iran have partnered and collaborated to develop e-learning and electronic skills for academics and students. OPATEL began its work in October 2016, with its first workshop in 2017 in Greece hosted by Patras University, while the second workshop was held in 2018, which was hosted by Portugal, and the third one was held in December 2018 in Iran, hosted by the Virtual School with the assistance of the Office of Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs of the Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Ramin Kordi, Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs, Dr. Shabani, Director of International Affairs and Development, Dr. Nekoofar, Director of International Relations, Accreditation, and Ranking, Dr. Sina Marashi, Dean of the Virtual School, and Dr. Rita Mojtahedzadeh, Vice-Dean for International Affairs, and faculty members and staff from the Virtual School.

On the first day of the workshop, Dr. Kordi emphasized the importance of e-learning in internationalization and the scientific section of the program conducted presentations on the effects of e-learning in internationalization.

The OPATEL workshop will be held for three days to transfer knowledge and e-learning skills of Tehran University of Medical Sciences to other partner universities of the project. The workshop will be held as a webinar for enthusiasts from partner universities and Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
