TUMS School of Public Health Records New Invention
Dr.Amir Hossein Mahvi, the associate professor of School of Public Health in cooperation with Hamed Gharibi, recorded the patent of destroying the cyanide combinations from industrial wastewater by electrochemical based reactor in United States Patent and Trademark Office. The invention is published on 2014/4/9 with US 2014/0246375 publication number and US 13783/328 application number.
USPTO is one of the most authentic offices in the world and inventions which are recorded in this office hold a high validity.
Through Dr.Amir Hossein Mahvi and his assistant efforts in removing a destructive industrial wastewater which harms the natural environment easily, a device is designed that has the ability to destroy all of cyanide combinations with a high efficiency.
Unlike all of the other devices made up to now which could remove only some of the components of the combination and led the rest into nature, the present device has the ability to remove all of the compounds including free cyanide and ferricyanide.
The other advantage of this device is that although other devices used up to now couldn’t work efficiently during a long period of time, this new invention is designed in a way that the changes in the density of pollutant and other factors don’t affect the efficiency of the device.
According to the US patents classification, the class number of the invention is 721/210 and according to the international classification, the application class number of the devise is C02F1/463.
