Dr. Jean DUPOUY-CARMET, President of the European Federation of Parasitologists, professor at Paris V Rene Descartes, France, was appointed TUMS Visiting Professor.
TUMS School of Public Health Welcomes A New Visiting Professor In The Department of Parasitology and Mycology

During his participation in the 2nd International and 9th National Congress of Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases of IRAN in May 2015, Professor Jean DUPOUY-CARMET, met the officials of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) and engaged in discussions concerning medical sciences collaborations between Iran and France with Dr. Nekoofar, TUMS Director of International Relations, Accreditation and Ranking.

On behalf of TUMS, and after welcoming Professor Jean DUPOUY-CARMET, Dr. Molavi, an academic member of the Parasitology Department, expressed willingness toward initiating a mutual cooperation between TUMS and France in the field of Parasitology.

Following the meeting, Dr. Nekoofar provided a brief summary about the international collaborations, counterparts and the European consortium with which TUMS has been currently involved. Dr. Nekoofar then invited Pro. DUPOUY-CARMET to take part in a mutual academic cooperation between France and Iran. 

Dr. Nekoofar pointed out that a MOU and an agreement should be implemented in order for the Department of Parasitology and Mycology and its French counterpart to establish various collaborations such as having joint programs, mobility exchanges and many others.
