Short Biography
Arman Zargaran was born in 1985 in Tehran (Iran). He has studied pharmacy (PharmD) and PhD of traditional pharmacy (phytopharmaceuticals) in Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and graduated in 2010 and 2015, respectively. He has been faculty member (currently associate professor) of Traditional pharmacy at Tehran University of Medical Sciences since 2016 to now. He is also appointed as head of department of history of medicine in 2023 and is director of international affairs development at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. In ministry of health, Arman Zargaran is vice for international affairs at the office of Persian and complementary medicine. He is also the youngest member of the International Academy of History of Pharmacy. Zargaran is awarded as 2% top cited scientists based on Elsevier report since 2021, annually. His research interest is formulation and standardization of natural and traditional products, Persian medicine, ethnopharmacology and history of medicine. He has 10 books and more than 200 papers in the reputed peer reviewed international journals (has h-index 26 in Scopus). He has given more than 70 speeches at international congresses all around the world and was awarded many national and international awards during his scientific period of life.
