According to the Public Relations Office of the International College at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), the fourteenth session of the research workshop series for international students was held online on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 14:00 to 16:00. Titled "How to Perform a Meta-analysis," the workshop was conducted by Dr. Sakineh Shab-Bidar and attended by international students from various countries.

The workshop aimed to enhance participants' research capabilities in understanding and conducting meta-analysis. Dr. Shab-Bidar presented key topics including "Introduction to Meta-analysis," "Steps to Perform Meta-analysis," "Statistical Methods in Meta-analysis," and "Interpretation of Meta-analysis in Articles."

During the session, students learned about the concept of meta-analysis, its importance in scientific research, methods for interpreting meta-analysis results in articles, and challenges related to combined data analysis.

This training program, which received notable engagement from international students, forms part of the ongoing research and academic empowerment initiatives by TUMS International College, designed to enhance students' research knowledge and methodological skills in evidence-based research.
