According to the public relations unit of the International College of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, the fourth meeting of the Educational Council was held on Saturday, June 12, 1401, with the presence of Dr. Seyed Mehdi Rezayat (deputy-dean of the International Campus of the University), Dr. Shabani (Dean of the International College), Dr. Zeinab Siami (Deputy-dean for the Educational and research affairs of International College) and Dr. Amir Zand Moghadam of Allameh Tabatabayee University.

According to the public relations unit of the International College of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, the fourth meeting of the Educational Council was held with the presence of Dr. Seyed Mehdi Rezayat (Deputy-dean of the International Campus of the University), Dr. Shabani (Dean of the International College), Dr. Zeinab Siami (Deputy-dean for the Educational and research affairs of International College) and Dr. Amir Zand Moghadam of Allameh Tabatabayee University.

At the beginning of the session, Dr. Shabani and Dr. Siami, as the hosts, expressed their welcome and gratitude, and Dr. Siami raised some educational issues. During the meeting, the Board of Education approved the request of the Faculty of Pharmacy to organize a class in the summer semester. It was then decided that in the second semester of 1400-1401, written Persian language exams would be held in person and oral exams would be administered virtually.

Then Dr. Zand Moghadam suggested that a part of the Persian language classes be held virtually in the summer semester and the issue be raised in the Education Council of the International Campus.

Dr. Shabani suggested that for the fields that need to be in contact with the patients very quickly, the comprehensive Persian language test tests be designed and administered to fellowship and subspecialist students before their entering the clinical courses. Regarding the increase of remuneration for Persian language teachers, it was decided to formulate a comprehensive business plan to be presented to the management board of the International Campus.

It was also decided in the meeting that with the positive attitude of Dr. Rezayat, the two courses will be announced by the International College in the near future:

  • A short course of BLS (Basic Life Support) in English

  • The course of internationalization of higher education

Finally, Dr. Shabani and Dr. Kandy proposed holding of English language enhancement classes as well as production of virtual content for the empowerment of academic and non-academic staff of Tehran University of Medical University.
