Professional Biography:

Dr. Kathryn A. Bayles is Professor Emerita of the University of Arizona where she was Head of the Department of Speech, Language, Hearing Sciences. Her area of expertise is cognitive neuroscience and she has received funding from the National Institutes on Aging, Mental Health, Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, the Andrus and Robert Wood Johnson Foundations and the Alzheimer's and Related Disorders Association. Widely published in peer reviewed journals, Dr. Bayles has authored four books and two standardized tests. She is a Fellow and Honors Recipient of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and Past President and Honors recipient of the Academy of Neurologic Communication Disorders and Sciences.

On September, 2017 Dr. Bayles was presented with the TUMS Distinguished Visiting Professor Title for the duration of 2017-2020 by Head of Speech Therapy Department.

During her presence at TUMS, she has visited the School of Rehabilitation.
