Prof. Alena Skalova
Professional Biography:
Alena Skalova MD PhD, Professor of Pathology at the Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Medicine in Plzen, Czech Republic. Co-Author of Histopathology of the Salivary Glands, Springer. She is also a member of WHO.
On October 7, 2015 Professor Skalova was presented with the TUMS Distinguished Visiting Professor Title for the duration of 2015-2018 by Dr. Bayat, dean of school of dentistry of TUMS. On June, 2020 her visiting professorship title was renewed, and since then, his contribution to TUMS has countined for duration of three years.
Professor Skalova visited the different departments and facilities of school of dentistry on october 7, 2015.
She had taken participate in the 1st international symposium on Salivary Gland Tumors.
She has given a lecture on the topic of "Histologic Classification and Molecular Signature of Polymorphous Adenocarcinoma (PAC) and Cribriform Adenocarcinoma of Salivary Glands (CASG)" in School of Dentistry's webinar on 2nd of June 2020.
