Program Description
Ph.D. of Anatomy is a postgraduate advance training in the anatomical sciences. The aim of this program is improvement of theoretical and practical specific knowledge related to human anatomy, including medical gross anatomy, human embryology and human microscopic anatomy.as well as the development and learning of theoretical and practical aspects of teaching anatomy at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The research programs conducted in this course are multidisciplinary and cover studies from a single gene to the structure of the entire human body. The graduates of this program will be capable of doing research in the field of stem cells, neuroscience, and reproductive biology.
Program Objectives:
- To learn anatomy courses to medical and other related undergraduate students through dissection
- To train anatomists who have anatomical knowledge and skills, and are able to teach anatomy courses and carry out biomedical research
- To design and contribute to relevant research in anatomical and biomedical research
Duration:
Three or four years full-time at two levels of education and research
Admission Requirements
General Reguirements: To apply for this program, you will need to fulfill a number of requirements, which can be found in the Graduate Admission Requirements.
Specific Requiremetn: Having an M.Sc. degree in Anatomy or M.D.
Admission Deadline
Tehran University of Medical Sciences has a rolling application system and reviews student applications all year round.
However, the deadline for the September intake is June 31, and the deadline for the February intake is October 31.
