**TUMS Professor Selected for WHO Regional Award**
Amir Ali Hamidieh, Professor of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, has been selected to receive the WHO Regional Award for Cancer Control in the Eastern Mediterranean Region. The award recognizes his contributions to cancer control and is scheduled to be presented during the 73rd Session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean in 2026.

**TUMS Researcher Named World Health Summit Academic Award Finalist**
Dr. Narges Nouri Goodarzi, Assistant Professor of Pathobiology at the TUMS School of Public Health, has been named a finalist in the World Health Summit Academic Award competition. Her doctoral research focuses on developing a vaccine against *Neisseria gonorrhoeae*, addressing the growing challenge of antimicrobial resistance and the absence of an effective vaccine against the infection. The project has previously received national recognition for its scientific contributions.
