Good Governance in Health Think Tank
Having a healthy society is an aspiration for all countries worldwide. However, achieving a healthy society requires more than just an efficient and effective healthcare system. Instead, a combination of diverse community groups, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), laws and regulations, the rule of law, and more, are essential prerequisites that must develop hand-in-hand with the healthcare system to reach this goal.
It is on this foundation that the “Good Governance in Health Think Tank” was established [for more details click here]. Its purpose is to raise public awareness about the dimensions of good governance, empower the public in creating the conditions for its implementation within the healthcare system, and thus provide this platform for both the people and policymakers.
The Good Governance in Health Think Tank, drawing upon Article 24 of the Constitution which upholds freedom of expression, defines its mission through the following objectives, aiming to achieve them:
✅ Creating a safe, free, and accessible platform for individuals interacting with the healthcare system (such as patients, clients, patient companions, professional associations, etc.) to voice their concerns and report violations of patient rights and citizen rights.
✅ Educating on advocacy and promoting a culture of claiming citizen rights within the healthcare system.
✅ Establishing a platform for collecting evidence to develop recommendations and policy briefs for policymakers.
In line with these missions, we strive to be the connecting link between three key groups: the public, researchers, and policymakers. By leveraging the societal impact of this connection, we aim to advance towards good governance in the healthcare system.
