Inauguration of the Center of Excellence for Global Health at TUMS

The inauguration ceremony of the Center of Excellence for Global Health (CEGH) will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 10 AM to 12 PM. The event will feature the presence of high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Health and Medical Education (MoHME), distinguished national and international guests, faculty members, researchers, and students. The ceremony aims to enhance the academic and research capabilities of the university in the field of global health and will take place in two separate sections at the Dar al-Funun Hall of the Central Headquarters. The official opening ceremony of the CEGH will occur at 11:30 AM on Qods Street, Ostad Eslami Alley, No. 14.
Section One: Main Program
The main program will commence at 10 AM in the Dar al-Funun Hall and continue until 11:30 AM. During this segment, prominent domestic and international speakers will deliver talks on global health topics, as well as the goals and vision of the CEGH. At the end of this section, a commemorative poster for the Center will be unveiled.
Section Two: Inauguration Ceremony and Unveiling of the CEGH's Plaque
From 11:30 AM to 12 PM, the official inauguration ceremony will take place in the World Health Observatory building with the attendance of the esteemed Minister of Health and Medical Education, the respected university president, a representative from the World Health Organization, and other invited guests. During this event, the plaque for the CEGH will be unveiled by the Minister of Health and Medical Education, followed by a tour of various sections of the Center by attendees.The CEGH is established with a vision to make a meaningful contribution to improving health for citizens in Iran and around the world. It aims to provide an appropriate platform for international research, knowledge exchange, and collaboration with international organizations. This center will operate in alignment with sustainable health development and address challenges faced by health systems globally. All faculty members, students, researchers, and interested individuals are welcome to attend this significant event to show their support for Tehran University of Medical Sciences' scientific and research efforts.
