Inauguration of the Center of Excellence for Global Health at Tehran University of Medical Sciences

On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, the Global Health Excellence Building was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Ali Jafarian, Deputy and Senior Advisor to the Minister of Health; Dr. Alireza Raeisi, Deputy Minister of Health; Dr. Seyed Reza Rais Karami, President of Tehran University of Medical Sciences; and a number of scholars, veterans, and university officials. Dr. Amirhossein Takian, a faculty member at the School of Public Health at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and founder of the Center of Excellence for Global Health, stated that this building has a total area of 360 square meters and can accommodate 45 individuals. Each room is named after a continent, while the main hall is named Iran.He mentioned that the Center of Excellence for Global Health, designed with advanced technologies such as simulation and digital health, is recognized as the first advanced center in Iran and the region for training health diplomats and providing cutting-edge education in this field. This facility will play a crucial role in enhancing global health diplomacy.
