The message from Dr. Araghchi on the occasion of the inauguration of the Center of Excellence for Global Health

Text of Dr. Araghchi's Message:

Our beloved country, Iran, has made great strides in scientific and technological advancement over the years, thanks to the Islamic Revolution. In terms of health and medical indicators, as well as in the education and training of health specialists, we have reached a level that serves as a model and benchmark in the region and globally. This vast infrastructure that has been established requires purposeful and extensive international communications for further rapid development, a point also acknowledged by the Supreme Leader. In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the navigator of the country’s foreign policy, has incorporated attention to scientific and technological diplomacy into its strategic programs in line with the overarching policies of the Fourteenth Government. We have made necessary plans to advance this agenda and are ready to collaborate and engage with the Ministry of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education, as well as Tehran University of Medical Sciences, which symbolizes medical education in our country. The goal is to internationalize knowledge in this field and showcase the abundant scientific and technological capacities of Iran's medical sciences on a regional and global scale.Finally, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations on the official opening of the Center of Excellence for Global Health at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, coinciding with the ninetieth anniversary of its establishment and the one hundred seventy-third anniversary of Dar al-Funun's opening as the birthplace of modern higher education in our country. Global health education through strategic partnerships with foreign collaborators is one of the main tools of our health diplomacy that can significantly contribute to securing national interests in this domain. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stands ready to fulfill its role alongside the Ministry of Health and Tehran University of Medical Sciences in achieving this strategic mission.Wishing you all health and prosperity,
