Specialized Virtual Panel on Health System Resilience in Times of Crisis

The Good Governance for Health Think Tank, in collaboration with the Center of Excellence for Global Health (CEGH) at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), will host a specialized virtual panel discussion entitled “Health System Resilience in Times of War and Crisis” featuring distinguished national and regional health leaders.

According to the TUMS Public Relations Office, the event will take place virtually on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 8:00 to 9:30 PM (Tehran time).

Distinguished Speakers and Facilitator

The main speaker will be Dr. Seyed Reza RaeesKarami, President of Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

He will be joined by Dr. Hamidreza Khankeh, Head of the Research Center and Educational Group for Health in Disasters at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, and honorary professor at Charité University, Germany, who will contribute his expert insights.

The session will be facilitated by Dr. Ali Ardalan, Regional Advisor for Health Systems in Emergencies, World Health Organization (WHO).

A Unique Exchange of Perspectives on Crisis and Health Systems

This academic event aims to explore the challenges and requirements for health system resilience amidst crisis situations such as war, natural disasters, and complex emergencies.

Participants will exchange experiences, analyze health policies, and discuss practical solutions at both national and international levels.
