TUMS International Secondary Affiliated Professors/ Scholars
In order to enhance the standing of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the realm of knowledge and achieve its ambitious aspirations within the scope of 1404, as well as to facilitate the scientific advancement of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), the Directorate of International Relations within the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs has designed a program for faculty members that entails collaboration with international scientific centers. This program, titled the "International Secondary Affiliated Professorship Program," comprises two categories: "International Visiting Professorship" and "International Adjunct Professorship." Currently, the program is being implemented with the aim of promoting academic excellence and enhancing the reputation of TUMS.
International Adjunct Professorship
International Adjunct Professors/Scholars are prominent experts with Iranian or non-Iranian nationality who work in institutions and universities abroad. They consult and cooperate with TUMS in the fields of education, research, technology, clinical care, and internationalization.
International Adjunct Professors/Scholars are placed in four general categories based on their academic rank in their home institution or university:

International Honorary Adjunct Scholar: This category refers to a person who is not a faculty member and does not have an academic affiliation with a university or higher education institution. They are selected based on their expertise and experience.

International Honorary Adjunct Assistant Professor: This category refers to a person who has an academic affiliation with a university or an international higher education institution with the academic rank of assistant professor. They are selected based on their expertise, experience, and publications.

International Honorary Adjunct Associate Professor: This category refers to a person who has an academic affiliation with a university or an international higher education institution with the academic rank of associate professor. They are selected based on their expertise, experience, publications, and teaching record.
