The international webinar entitled "Active learning and lecture free curriculum" was held online by the TUMS Education Development Center (EDC) in collaboration with the Appraise-to-Raise group of TUMS International Relations office.
The International Webinar "Active Learning and Lecture Free Curriculum" Was Held on December 9th, 2020

This webinar was held on December 9th, 2020, with the presence of prominent national and international professors and researchers, and with the participation of 312 people.

 

The main purpose of the webinar was to raise awareness about the importance of active learning and free education, benefits and advantages, stakeholders and related concerns, and Dr. Maryam Alizadeh, a TUMS Professor, was the scientific secretary of the webinar.

 

In this webinar, four lectures were given by Dr. Hooman Hosseinnejad and Dr. Azim Mirzadeh jointly, from TUMS, Dr. Maryam Alizadeh, also from TUMS, Dr. David Taylor, Professor of Medical Education from University of Liverpool, UK, and Dr. Dean Parmel, Professor of Medical education from Wright State University, Boonshoft School of Medicine.

 

At the end of the lectures, a one-hour Q&A panel was held with the presence of all speakers and participants, and the questions of the participants were answered.

 

It is worth noting that the Appraise to Raise project is one of the new programs of the TUMS International Relations Office after the Corona epidemic, designed with the approach of developing virtual academic activities and gaining new experiences in the field of internationalization.
