Clinical Competence for MD Students
The exam is a modified Osce exam, consisting of both clinical skills, clinical decision making, para clinical data evaluation, diagnosis, and clinical approaches to various presentations.
It consists of 15 stations,12 of which are active and the remaining 3 are "Resting" stations.
Out of the 12 active stations, 8 of them are called "vital" stations meaning you can only fail up to a max of 1 station out of them and not more, otherwise you fail the whole exam. The other 4 are called "Non-vital" stations were failing more than 1 station is okay.
The time is approximately 5-6 minutes per station and you have to move to the next station within the allocated time.
In each station, there could be an examiner (a professor) but there could be some stations without any examiner where you are only given an instruction sheet and you have to answer accordingly.
