PERSIAN LITERATURE
Considering the importance of learning Persian for medical students due to the necessity of communicating with patients in hospital wards, clinics, and other clinical environments, international students admitted to the Medicine program participate in the Persian language proficiency test at the start of their first level of studies (Basic Sciences). It should be noted that all language classes (Persian, English, and other international languages) are held at the International College.
Based on their scores, students are placed into Persian language courses, which are held in five levels from the first to the fifth semester. The first three levels focus more on general Persian, while the next two levels concentrate on clinical Persian used in medicine.
After completing these five levels and passing all the associated exams, students must also take a comprehensive Persian language proficiency exam. Passing this comprehensive exam, in addition to meeting all other educational requirements, is a prerequisite for advancing to the next level (Pathophysiology).
