(OSCE) for international MBBS students
The Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for international MBBS students was held in collaboration with Baharlu and Ziaian Hospitals at the Clinical Skills Center of the IC- Medical School, located in Baharlu Hospital.
The OSCE for international students of the IC- School of Medicine, involving 10 MBBS students from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, took place on Saturday, 31/August/2024, for 3 hours at the IC- Clinical Skills Center in Baharlu Hospital. The examination was conducted in cooperation with Baharlu and Ziaian Hospitals, ensuring optimal health and security conditions.
The exam was managed, coordinated, and supervised by experts from the Clinical Skills and Education Center of the IC-Medical School. Dr. Omid Aminian, the head of the IC-Medical School, oversaw the examination process.
Four professors from Baharlu Hospital, including Dr. Neda Faraji (Internal Specialist and Vice-Chancellor of Baharlu Hospital), Dr. Housmi (Infectious Disease Specialist), Dr. Sasan Falahi (Rheumatology Specialist), and Dr. Majid Akrami (Anesthesiologist), along with faculty members from Ziaian and Hakim Hospitals, such as Dr. Atefe Arian (Cardiologist), Dr. Abdul Mohammadian (Pediatrician from Hakim Hospital), Dr. Arife Eshkhinejad (Gynecologist), and Dr. Seyed Hossein Haji Mirzaei (General Surgery Specialist from Ziaian Hospital), participated as question designers and examiners. Dr. Nasim Ibaadi, the Educational Assistant of Ziaian Hospital, visited the exam area during the examination.
The exam comprised eight 15-minute theoretical-practical-oral stations, each supervised by a professor from Baharlu and Ziaian Hospitals. At the conclusion of the exam, a survey was conducted among the international students, which revealed their overwhelming satisfaction with the exam’s implementation.
