Faculty Development
To support and promote faculty members’ attitude, skills, knowledge and identity as medical teachers at TUMS, in line with the mission of the education development center of Tehran University of Medical Sciences which is “improving the quality of education and learning with the aim of training educated workforce for giving the highest quality health services to the public and patients.”
Curriculum Planning
Designing macro policy plans and providing expert advice on curriculum planning to relevant departments at the university to improve the quality of educational programs according to the needs of the community, using future oriented planning and assessment (in proactive approach), in line with the mission of the education development center of Tehran University of Medical Sciences which is “promoting the quality of education to increase the society health by making policies, planning, evaluating , supervising and (if necessary) conducting educational development activities in the department, faculty and university levels.”
Developing innovative teaching-learning strategies Unit
Facilitate the process of design, implementation and application of novel educational strategies through policy-making in educational approaches based on "culture and art", "interprofessional collaboration and education" and "simulation such as standard patient and new technology” in clinical, health and basic sciences in the university will be done by faculty members and They will be introduced to how to use and implement these methods.

Scholarship and Development projects in Medical Education
Specializing in medical education, scholarship distribution, and development projects in medical education, the Academic staffs of TUMS are able to design, prepare, and implement their medical education proposals in medical education leading to advancement in educating and teaching in the learning environment.
Student Engagement
To support and promote students’ attitudes, skills, knowledge towards medical education through engagement and involvement, in line with the mission of the education development center of Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
External Relations Unit and Festivals
Media and external collaboration division with regard to the four year program of the academic administration and the mission and the duties defined by the medical sciences educational development center of the university, from the February of 2011 has started its activities.
The purpose of this division is to present the different activities of the educational center of the University. This division endeavors to provide the suitable grounds for collaboration of the center with the other related centers in Iran or in other countries.
