About
The Department of Clinical Pharmacy administers a residency program for Pharm.D. graduates which leads to a specialized degree in Clinical Pharmacy (Pharmacotherapy). The department also provides therapeutic courses for Pharm.D. students.
Clinical Pharmacy division provides patient care in various practice settings and promotes the effective use of medications in the pursuit of health. The residency program is designed to be completed by full-time rotations in 5 years.
The Department of Clinical Pharmacy was established in 1984 and is the leader of clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice in Iran with over 15 full-time academic and professional staff.
The Department is involved in various principal areas: teaching in the undergraduate pharmacy curriculum, postgraduate residency of clinical pharmacy, fellowship program in critical care for clinical pharmacists, clinical research, and practice of clinical pharmacy.
This department also provides international education programs including summer courses, summer schools, student exchange program.

With the changing role of pharmacists, the Department of Clinical Pharmacy is committed to exemplary teaching, practice-related research, and practice of pharmacotherapy.

The Department of Clinical Pharmacy is an eminent centre for clinical pharmacy research, teaching, and providing service to improve the health of individuals and the well-being of the society.
We aim to provide evidence-based care that optimizes use of medication across all health care settings; optimize health outcomes through partnerships with patients, caregivers, health care professionals, policy makers; ensure safe and effective therapy through secure and reliable medication prescription, supply and delivery systems; generate and disseminate knowledge to advance patient care, medication safety, disease prevention and treatment, health care cost-effectiveness and quality, and pharmacy education; and apply new knowledge to develop, evaluate and disseminate innovative health care delivery models, pharmacy education models, and health policy.
