Dr. Nasrin Ghassemi Barghi Invited to United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) Global Framework on Chemicals Working Group

Dr. Nasrin Ghassemi Barghi from the School of Pharmacy, International Campus, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, was officially invited by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to participate in the Open‑Ended Working Group (OEWG) of the Global Framework on Chemicals. The session was held from 24 to 27 June 2025 in Punta del Este, Uruguay.

Due to flight cancellations caused by a 12-day conflict, Dr. Ghassemi Barghi was unable to attend in person. Nevertheless, she continues to actively engage with UNEP initiatives and remains involved in global efforts toward a future free of chemical pollution.

Her ongoing commitment to international scientific collaboration and environmental protection positions her as a dedicated contributor to future UNEP sessions and joint research activities.
