SATiM Arranges Student Visits to Two Companies

On May 24, 2015, a group of medical biotechnology students and faculty members from the School of Advanced Technologies in Medicine visited CinnaGen Company and Shifa Pharmed Industrial Group. During this visit, TUMS students visited different sections of the two companies including the production of Interferon beta at CinnaGen and the Penicillin G production line at Shifa Pharmed Industrial Group.

As a result of these visits, apart from first-hand experience of the industry for the students, both companies expressed hope and interest regarding more cooperation with the Department of Medical Biotechnology.
