Director of the European Vascular Course (EVC), met with TUMS Chancellor

This meeting which also saw the presence of Dr. Zafarghandi, former TUMS Chancellor; TUMS Director of International Relations, Accreditation and Ranking, Dr. Nekoofar; and several high-ranking Iranian vascular surgery professors from around the country, commenced a little after 12:30 p.m. with Dr. Zafarghandi’s welcome note and a brief presentation of TUMS by Dr. Jafarian.

Afterwards, Dr. Nekoofar gave a short report of TUMS and Tehran’s accommodation facilities and activities, explaining procedures and protocols by which TUMS receives international and high-value guests all year round.

Further into the meeting, Dr. Jacobs took turn to introduce the EVC, referring to it as a golden opportunity for young scholars of the vascular surgery to receive training and education. According to the EVC director, this short-term course is comprised of online communities, workshops, case discussions, individual trainings, and board examinations.

At the end of the meeting, it was decided that Dr. Zafarghandi would take the lead in the possible TUMS-EVC cooperation as the university’s main contact person in order to discuss all aspects in further detail to move towards a practical collaboration stage.
