Cultural Attaché of Embassy of Iraq in Iran Meets TUMS Directorate of International Affairs and Development
In this meeting which was held on September 28, 2016, issues regarding dormitories and changing majors of Iraqi students were discussed. Dr. Zahedeh Ahmed Khalil, Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of Iraq in Iran, mentioned the new minister of higher education in Iraq and a part of the new policy of Iraq's Ministry of Higher Education, which states that the Iraqi graduates who have studied abroad must return to Iraq.
In the following, some topics related to learning Farsi and accelerating the process of academic certificates and degrees issuance for Iraqi graduates were discussed. TUMS Directorate of International Affairs and Development stated that as international students in clinical programs need to communicate with patients and it is necessary for them to learn Farsi, therefore, for example, Ph.D. students in Pharmaceutics who are not in contact with patients, do not need to learn Farsi.
