TUMS Professors Among Top 1% World Scholars

In July, the ESI (Essential Science Indicators) Ranking System published a list of the most-cited scholars and scientists in the world. This list, derived from data of an approximately ten-year timespan (January 2005 to April 2015) based on the ISI Web of Science database, lists 31 Iranian scholars in different fields of medical sciences among the top one percent most-cited scholars in the world.

From this elite group of Iranian scholars, 17 scientist are among the faculty members of Tehran University of Medical Sciences. The names and respective academic fields of these renowned academicians is listed in the following (names are in alphabetic order):
