In a meeting on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, the Chancellor of Kharkiv National Medical University visited TUMS.
TUMS Expands Intl. Relations to Ukraine

The delegation of Kharkiv National Medical University started its tour of TUMS from the Schools of Medicine and Dentistry, meeting each of the with the schools’ officials. The main subjects of these meetings revolved methods of visiting patients and the processes and procedures through which Tehran University of Medical Sciences accepts and admits international students.  

 

Later in the day, the Ukrainian guests headed to TUMS Children Medical Center as the next leg of their visit, during which they were familiarized with the activities of this medical center in various fields of science, medical services, athletics and art. At the end of this meeting, the two universities signed the USERN MoU. USERN - the Universal Scientific and Researh Network - is a scientific network comprised of numerous scientists and researchers from around the globe, mainly aiming to provide young scholars with opportunities and support in order to realize their activities and possible contributions to the human knowledge.

 

In the final part of their visit to Tehran University of Medical Sciences, the officials of Kharkiv National Medical University partook in the TUMS School of Medicine's 6th Seasonal Meeting of International Liaisons of Hospitals and Educational Departments of held at Imam Khomeini Hospital, the largest TUMS hospital. In this meeting, which focused on activity reports by the liaisons of their respective departments, Kharkiv National Medical University's Head of International Relations found time to present briefly their university's activities in Ukraine alongside. To conclude this session, Dr. Mohammad Hossein Nekoofar, Director of International Relations, Accreditation and Ranking (DIRAR) and Kharkiv Nationall Medical University's Head of International Relations signed an agreement of mutual academic collaborations, officiating their resolve to take further steps regarding bilateral cooperation.
