International Graduates Add Global Flair to the  9th Unified Graduation Ceremony

Approximately 30 international graduates, along with a group of Iranian alumni, celebrated the completion of their studies and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives at the 9th Unified Graduation Ceremony of Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

According to the Public Relations of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, the ceremony was held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, in front of the Medical School entrance. The event was attended by Dr. Seyed Reza Raees Karami, Chancellor of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Mohammad Hossein Ayati, Vice-Chancellor for International Affairs, Dr. Seyed Mansour Gatmiri, Head of the Alumni Relations Office, Dr. Seyed Mehdi Rezayat, Vice-President for International Educational Office and several other officials, amidst the enthusiasm of 600 Iranian and international graduates from various academic levels.

Around 30 international graduates from different academic levels and countries including Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Iraq, Lebanon, Bahrain, Indonesia, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Nigeria and Denmark participated in the 9th Unified Graduation Ceremony. They took the Oath, committing to medical ethics, upholding the sanctity of the medical profession, and avoiding any infringement on patients’ rights.

The ceremony also provided an opportunity to honor 65 distinguished professors and graduates; Dr. Ehsan Aghaei Moghaddam, Dr. Mina Khayam Zadeh and Dr. Hamid Delnavazi from the International Campuses of the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy were recognized as outstanding professors. Additionally, from Int’l Campuses, Ameneh Ameneh and Ahmad Mazid from School of Medicine, Hamid Nazari from the School of Dentistry and Frimpong Chiknoris Irinago from School of Pharmacy were acknowledged as top graduates.

On the sidelines of the 9th Unified Graduation Ceremony, the International Campus’s booth was set up alongside other Schools’. International students from various nationalities used this opportunity to showcase their cultures, customs, and diverse cuisines.

At the end, the Chancellor of the university visited the side exhibition and booths, while the International Campus’s booth being titled as the “Top Booth” among all other participating Schools’ booths.
