Message from the Vice President for International Affairs at Tehran University of Medical Sciences on the Occasion of the Birth of Jesus Christ (peace be upon him)
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
"When the angels said, 'O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah].' (Surah Al-Imran, Ayah 45)"
The divine prophets, from Adam to the Seal of the Prophets, came to be messengers of kindness, justice, and brotherhood on earth. The blessed birth of Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) is also an occasion to say that we Iranians, whose land has long been a cradle of cultural diversity and respect for divine religions, are delighted by the birth of the Word of Allah (peace be upon him), who invited the world to peace and friendship.
While congratulating the auspicious and blessed birth of Jesus, the son of Mary (peace be upon him), to Iranians and the world, especially to our Christian compatriots, and particularly to the Christian professors, staff, and students of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, we hope that the beginning of the new Gregorian year will be a start for more reflection and contemplation on the messages and teachings of the Prophets for the expansion of peace and security and the promotion of human kindness and global peace.
