Signing of Cooperation Agreement between the Dental Research Center of Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Turkey’s Major Manufacturer Inci Dental

According to the Public Relations Office of the Vice-Chancellor for International Affairs of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, this agreement is an industry-academia collaboration contract, signed with the goal of mutual utilization of scientific and industrial capacities for technology development, improving the quality of services, and commercialization of dental products.

The mentioned agreement, as a practical step toward realizing the slogan of a technological and entrepreneurial university, was signed by Dr. Mohammad Hossein Nekoufar, Head of the Dental Research Center, and Mr. Mustafa Hakim Demir, CEO of Inci Dental. Dr. Khosro Sohrabi, advisor to the Vice-Chancellor for International Affairs of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, was also present at the signing ceremony as an observer.

Joint knowledge-based production in the field of dental materials and equipment, participation in research and development projects with potential for patent registration, support for postgraduate theses, utilization of the manufacturing and export infrastructure of Inci Dental, and enabling Inci Dental to benefit from the research capacities, expert human resources, and technological achievements of the Dental Research Center, are the main axes of this agreement.

This collaboration can pave the way for the production of advanced technology products that are globally competitive, expand the technological and commercial activities of the research center on an international level, enable Inci Dental to enter local and scientific innovations through cooperation with Iranian elites, and create employment and research opportunities for students and faculty members.

Inci Dental, with nearly three decades of experience in manufacturing dental equipment including amalgam, composite restorative materials, rotary files, polishing discs, and fiber posts, is considered one of the world’s reputable manufacturers and exports its products to over 80 countries worldwide.

It is worth mentioning that the Idex Istanbul 2025 International Dental Conference and Exhibition is being held from May 6, 2025, for four days, hosted by the Istanbul Expo Center, and Dr. Mohammad Hossein Nekoufar, Head of the Dental Research Center, Director of International Relations at the university, and inventor of the specialized dental device Micro Hole Negotiator (MHN), is presenting his invention during this event.
