Announcement from the Office of Education – International Campus Tehran University of Medical Sciences
Due to the recent aggressive and criminal attack by the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran. The following academic arrangements are hereby announced for international students:
1. For international students (those are present in Iran) enrolled in specialty, subspecialty, fellowship, and internship programs, clinical department and hospital education will proceed regularly and as scheduled. Students currently outside of Iran will resume their studies from 25th August 2025, according to a program to be announced by the respective faculty.
2. All international clinical clerkship students currently in Iran are expected to attend to the hospitals starting from 7th July 2025 in coordination with their respective faculty. Remaining clinical clerkship students who are *currently abroad* will commence their programs no later than 25th August 2025, based on a schedule to be announced.
3. International students in undergraduate and master's programs who are residing in Iran must attend their classes and examinations as instructed by their respective faculty. *Those abroad* will begin their academic activities from 25th August 2025.
4. Thesis defenses for international students in graduate programs may be conducted virtually, subject to approval from the Vice Chancellor of Education and the Vice Chancellor for International Affairs of the respective faculty.
5. All remaining theory courses for the International Campus in the second semester of the academic year 1403 (Feb 2025) will be held online from 12th July 2025. (Access links to virtual classes will be announced later.)
6. Remaining practical classes for the International Campus in the second semester of the academic year 1403 (Feb 2025) will be conducted from 25th August 2025, according to the schedules announced by the faculties.
