Official Results:September 2025 Basic Sciences Comprehensive Exam
We are issuing this official notice regarding the final outcomes of the September 2025 Basic Sciences Comprehensive Examination, including the definitive decisions made following the appeals process.
This final decision comes from the Vice -Dean for Educational Affairs and the Deputy of Education at the ICTUMS School of Dentistry.
All students who participated in the September 2025 Comprehensive Examination must carefully note the following regulations regarding their academic progression:
1. Students Who Passed the Comprehensive Examination
Passed Comprehensive Exam & Passed ALL Basic Sciences Courses; Students may immediately continue their education. Medical students will proceed to the Physio-Pathology, and Dentistry students will proceed to the Clinical (Clinic) Phase.
Passed Comprehensive Exam & Failed ONE Basic Sciences Course; Students may continue their education (Physio Part/Clinic Phase). However, the single failed course must be reselected and retaken concurrently with their current semester courses (September 2025).
Passed Comprehensive Exam & Failed TWO Basic Sciences Courses; The result of the Comprehensive Examination is deemed nullified based on educational regulations. The student must reselect and retake both failed subjects this semester. Any other remaining subjects must also be taken this semester.
2. Students Who Failed the Comprehensive Examination
Failed Comprehensive Exam & Passed ALL Basic Sciences Courses; Students cannot continue to the Physio-Pathology or Clinic Phase this semester. They must focus on preparing for and attempting the next Comprehensive Examination scheduled for March 2026.
Failed Comprehensive Exam & Have Failed Basic Sciences Subject(s); Students must immediately approach to the Educational Office to reselect and retake all failed subjects during the current semester (September 2025).
Supporting Statement for Dentistry Students (February 2025 Failures of Khani-Abad courses)
This applies to students who failed specific advanced courses (Anatomy & Morphology, Tooth Structure, or Radiology 1) and plan to sit for the March 2026 Comprehensive Exam:
If you have sufficient credit limits available in the SIPAD system this semester (September 2025), you must come to the Educational Office to register your name. This is necessary to facilitate the selection of these failed courses and to be introduced to the Dentistry School at Khani-Abad for retaking them, provided they are available on the SIPAD system.
Credit Limit Warning:
If selecting these courses causes you to exceed your maximum permitted credit limit for the current semester, you are not allowed to register them now. In this case, you must wait and register these advanced courses during the February 2026 semester.
CRITICAL WARNING AND FINAL NOTICE REGARDING RETAKES
There will be NO retake examination offered for any failed subject unless the student has formally reselected that course through the SIPAD system during the current semester's course selection period.
Do not approach the Educational Office later claiming you kept courses for a retake without having formally selected them in the SIPAD system.
This is a final, official warning. Failure to select the required failed subjects this semester will result in further academic delay.
