TUMS and UT hold The International Festival 2019 from 22 to 24 April.

The International Festival 2019 is going to be held by the collaboration between Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) and University of Tehran (UT) with the presence of ambassadors from different countries, representatives from related ministries, faculty members, and students of the two universities. 

Dr. Kordi, The Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs stated that “the close collaboration between the two universities and the interest in outspreading the coopertaion especially in the international field is the underlying reason for the collaboration in this program.”

He pointed that “because of the vastness of this program, The UT-TUMS International Festival is going to be held in 3 days, and different countries are going to be showcased in the exhibition that will be in the main campus of University of Tehran.”

The Vice Chancellor also explained that students from the two universities who share the same nationality are going to showcase their traditions and culture and share their experience of living in Iran in a booth in the exhibition. “Our different Schools, International Office, International Campus and International College each will have a desk to introduce their accomplishments,” he said.

He also mentioned: “This program will start on April 22, 2019, and in the second day there will be The International Food Festival.”

He talked about the closing ceremony on 24^th April from 15:00 to 17:00 in TUMS Main Hall and pointed that “Ambassadors and delegates of different countries, representatives from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, high ranking officials of the two universities, faculty members, and students from both universities are invited to this program.”

The Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and Internaitonal Affairs mentioned the speeches of both chancellors of two universities, welcoming program for international students, theater in Persian and English, and live music are a part of the closing ceremony.

Also he pointed that in this ceremony elite students in different educational fields are going to be awarded.

In the end, Dr. Kordi stated that the International Festival is a sign of great higher education capacity in the country and hoped that with this program there will be a chance for understanding how to benefit from international aspects of education, research, special services, human resources, and soft and hard infrastructures for the university.
