Announcement from the Office of Education – International Campus, Tehran University of Medical Sciences
In light of the recent tragic events, including the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of Muslims, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and the aggressive and criminal attacks by the United States and Zionist regimes against the Islamic Republic of Iran, the following academic arrangements are hereby announced for international students:
1.Specialty, Subspecialty, Fellowship, and Internship Programs
● International students currently residing in Iran will continue their clinical education in departments and hospitals as scheduled by the main faculty.
● Students currently outside Iran will be informed of the resumption date one week prior to the start of their programs.
2. Clinical Clerkship Programs
● International clerkship students present in Iran may attend hospitals in coordination with their respective faculty.
● Students currently abroad will be notified of the resumption date one week in advance.
3. Undergraduate and Master’s Programs
● Students residing in Iran must attend their theoretical classes virtually via the Skyroom platform (links previously announced by the faculty).
● Students abroad will join classes virtually through Google Meet or Skype (Team) (links to be announced later).
● Classes will commence on April 18, 2026
4. Practical and Laboratory Classes
● All practical, in-person, and laboratory sessions are postponed until further notice.
5.Thesis Defenses
● Graduate students may conduct thesis defenses virtually, subject to approval by the Vice Chancellor of Education and the Vice Chancellor for International Affairs of the respective faculty.
6. Examinations
● All remaining examinations for the International Campus in the first semester of the academic year 1404–1405 (September 2026) are postponed until further notice.
7. Access to official Educational Updates
● Students are advised to regularly check the Bale groups (links provided below) and the official website of the International Affairs Office of TUMS for updates.

8. Course Registration
● Students with access to SIPAD must complete registration during the announced period.
●For those with limited access due to financial issues, or without SIPAD access, conditional attendance in classes according to the timetable is permitted. Registration must be completed later once access is restored.
