Publication of Dr. Mahmood Alizadeh Sani’s Article in a High-Quality International Journal

The review article entitled “Multifunctional metal-phenolic network-based hybrid materials: advanced engineering composites for food packaging applications” by Dr. Mahmood Alizadeh Sani, a faculty member of the Department of Food Science and Technology, School of Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and colleagues has been published in the high-impact journal Advanced Composites and Hybrid Materials (Q1, Impact Factor = 21.8).

This work was carried out through international collaboration with Prof. Jong-Whan Rhim from Kyung Hee University, Seoul, South Korea. The study reviews metal-phenolic networks (MPNs) as advanced, sustainable materials that improve barrier properties, antimicrobial activity, and shelf-life extension in food packaging.
