Updates about changes for Feb 2020 Basic Science Examination

Dear International Students,

As you were informed before, the Feb 2020 Comprehensive Examination has been cancelled due to the Global Health crises. However, recently we received a confirmation from Higher Education and Ministry of Health and Education, regarding the passing process of above-mentioned examination for eligible MD and DDS students, which would be by Reviewing of eligible students’’ academic records.

Therefore, the marks for those Basic Sciences courses that questions come from them, are going to be send to the authorities for evaluation. The following conditions are possible;

  1. Student can satisfy the passing Feb 2020 Comprehensive Examination condition by receiving above average score from his/her marks; He/she can start the next semester (Clinical Phase)
  2. Student can NOT satisfy the passing Feb 2020 Comprehensive Examination condition due to receiving below average score from his/her marks; He/she can carry on Clinical Phase courses on current term BUT should participate on September 2020 Comprehensive Examination. If by that time, student pass the exam successfully, he/she can continue studying from Sept 2020 term. Otherwise, he/she should wait for the next coming Comprehensive Examination that is on Feb 2021.
    1. If the student fails to pass the Feb 2020 Comprehensive Examination condition, the courses that he/she passed on Feb 2020 term would be counted for him/her. However, the possibility of starting the next term will be based on passing the next coming Basic Sciences Comprehensive Examination.

The office of Educational Affair will update you regarding to your status as soon as we receive a feedback from higher educational authorities.
