Army Marching in Imam Khomeini Hospital

The commander of the Army Guard Unit, his deputies and a group of personnel in that unit came to Imam Khomeini Hospital as a sign of appreciation for the efforts of the hospital staff in serving more than 25,000 patients suspected of having Coronavirus during the last four months.

Commander Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Hosseini, on June 22, 2021, while appreciating and wishing good health to the medical staff of Imam Khomeini Hospital Complex, said: “The Army has so far marched on thirteen hospitals in the country in recognition of the 110 medical personnel including doctors, nurses and medical staff who have sacrificed their lives in the fight against the Coronavirus to save the life of the patients. He called the army a servant of the great nation of Iran and wished for the recovery of medical staff who got infected and are suffering from the disease”.

 

Amir Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Hosseini also delivered the message of the Commander-in-Chief of the Army, and described the performance of martial music and the army choir as a symbol of appreciation for health defenders on the front line in fight against     COVID-19. “The army is proud of the country's trained medical staff, who have endured hardships during the COVID-19 outbreak, such as the use of uncomfortable clothing, physical and psychological stress, being away from family and staying awake night hours”, he added.

 

 Dr. Khosro Sadeghniat, head of Imam Khomeini Hospital Complex, praised the presence of the army in the hospital in appreciation of the 4-month efforts of the medical staff and said: "This program was very encouraging and invaluable."

 

He also noted that Imam Khomeini Hospital Complex is the largest hospital in the country with more than 1,500 active beds which has responded to more than 25,000 suspected patients during the last four months.

 

In the end, Dr. Sadeghniat thanked the Army for maintaining the security and tranquility of the country and said that in the current situation, medical staff and health care professionals are at the forefront of prevention, treatment and control of COVID-19 disease, and like the army, try to maintain peace and health in our community.
