The first session of the Covid-19 Virtual Fellowship Program was held as a joint educational program between TUMS and Lahore University of Pakistan.

In the first session of this program, which was held on July 9, 2020, Dr. Hossein Ghanaati, a professor at TUMS, gave a lecture entitled “Radiology in COVID-19”.

 

Forty people including physicians, nurses and researchers in the field of medicine from Lahore University as well as the Dean of Najaf Medical School virtually participated in the first session.

 

Dr. Mohammad Hossein Niknam, Director of International Branches of TUMS, in the final part of the scientific meeting, while thanking the speaker, participants and all stakeholders, stated that the implementation of the Covid-19 virtual fellowship was also a symbol of joint scientific cooperation between the two universities.

 

In this joint program, fourteen lessons will be taught by the TUMS professors two days per week for the participants from Lahore University of Pakistan covering various aspects of     Covid-19 disease in virology, immunology, epidemiology, diagnosis, radiology, pharmacotherapy, respiratory triage, management of outpatients and inpatients, management of underlying problems, evidence-based management, follow-up, staff care Health and ethical considerations.

 

It is worth noting that TUMS intends to implement this joint program with universities from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan as well. a
