Aiming to emphasize the importance of coordination between the International Campus of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) and the university’s Office of Vice-Chancellor for Education, the first meeting of the Coordination Council for International Education was held.

Based on the offer of the Office of Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs, the first meeting of the Coordination Council for International Education was held.

According to TUMS Office of Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs, Dr. Ziaei, Vice-Dean of Education of TUMS International Campus stated that with the presence of a number of TUMS high-ranking officials on 16 June 2019, discussions were held and agreements reached about accepting international students for the B.Sc. program of Life Sciences.

He added that this major, suggested by TUMS School of Medicine, is specially held for International students. Moreover, he mentioned that the Coordination Council for International Education has reached a consensus that international medical students can complete their studies with the aim of obtaining an M.B.B.S. degree, the final decision still based upon the decision of the Office of International Admissions.

Given the increasing number of international students and the varying demands addressed to the university,  the importance of coordination between educational activities and the international aspect of activities must be improved.
