The 3rd International Congress of West Asian and North African Countries (WANA) will be held in cooperation with Royan Institute and the University of Medical Sciences and Health Services of West Azarbaijan Province in Urmia from 16th to 17th May 2024.

The 3rd International Congress of West Asian and North African Countries (WANA) will be held in cooperation with Royan Institute and the University of Medical Sciences and Health Services of West Azarbaijan Province in Urmia from 16th to 17th May 2024.
According to the public relations and international affairs, this scientific congress will focus on the consequences of assisted reproductive techniques (ART Outcome), as a branch of the International Congress of Royan. The goal is to address the latest scientific achievements in this field on a global level and specifically focus on the countries in the WANA [West Asia and North Africa] region. The conference aims to promote joint scientific research in this area.
The scientific secretary of this congress is Dr. Ahmed Vosough and its executive secretary is Dr. Elham Amirchaghmaghi from Royan Institute and Dr. Ghasem Nejad from Urmia University of Medical Sciences.
The scientific based of this congress are as follows:

  -  Monitoring of children resulting from infertility treatments

  -  Moral and legal issues

 -  Imaging role

  -  The influence of environmental factors and lifestyle

   - Improving assisted reproductive outcomes: challenges, management, and options

  - Fertility preservation in cancer patients

  - The role of surgery in improving the outcomes of assisted reproductive techniques

Royan Institute believes that it can be a place for synergy and meeting of scientific and commercial activists and infertility treatment, as well as an opportunity for the presence of domestic and foreign knowledge-based companies that have entered the production of consumer items.
The following goals can be mentioned for the establishment of this scientific association:

  1. Transferring scientific experiences, through networking and creating effective connections with other scientific centers, researchers, and scientists of the Vana region around the world, identifying the capacity of cooperation in the countries of the region and expanding the communication network;
  2. Development of networking between knowledge-based companies in WANA region in order to increase communication and interactions and trade of scientific products;
  3. Providing the complete chain of providing knowledge-based services [Total Solution] including training, expert consulting, supervision, and implementation of large-scale projects in the field of biotechnology to applicant countries by knowledge-based companies.
