TUMS Has Done Well in Cervical Cancer Prevention: Prof. Par Sparen

In an interview with Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), Professor Par Sparen, professor of Medical Epidemiology at Karolinska Institutes in Sweden expressed his appreciation of TUMS Cancer Research Center in inviting him to the International Workshop on Cervical Cancer Prevention in the Low Incidence Countries.
"Thank you very much, it’s a great pleasure to be here and to talk to you. I think this is a unique University and I'm very delighted to see that you have done so many great researches in Cervical Cancer Prevention. One of the things that brings us here is the necessity that we feel to prevent cervical cancer, as the most common cancer in women under 35 years old, and I think Cancer Research Center in Iran  has also touched the importance of this issue," Prof. Sparen noted.
"As we all believed that early treatment can prevent cervical changes developing into cancer and we have faced with this problem many times in Sweden, we try to reduce the risk factors for cervical cancer. In this context, we will be happy to boost our bilateral collaborations," he added.
