The Department of Pediatrics at the Children's Medical Center Hospital affiliated with Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) has signed an MOU with The European Laboratory for the Investigation of Food-Induced Diseases (ELFID), Naples, Italy, at the 24th International Congress of Pediatrics, on October 13, 2012.

The Department of Pediatrics at the Children's Medical Center Hospital affiliated with Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) has signed an MOU with The European Laboratory for the Investigation of Food-Induced Diseases (ELFID), Naples, Italy, at the 24th International Congress of Pediatrics, on October 13, 2012.

 

Dr.  Ali Rabbani, head of the TUMS Children's Medical Center Hospital said that the methods of cooperation provided in this MOU includes coordinating scientific programs, exchanging and training scientists and delegations, sharing information and holding meetings, running workshops and scientific conferences. "The Children's Medical Center Hospital, as the oldest and largest pediatrics Hospital in Iran, has a great potential participating in international collaborations and accepting fellowships in different fields", Dr. Rabbani added.

Furthermore, Prof. Riccardo Troncone, the Director of the European Laboratory for the Investigation of Food-Induced Diseases (ELFID), expressed his willingness to strengthen existing cooperation and collaboration between Italy and Iran in the field of health and medical sciences, considering the strong tradition of research in both countries, with the aim of enhancing and promoting research and development in the field of pediatrics.
