The Chancellor and authorities of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) met with ambassadors from Turkey, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kenya, Iraq, India, and Ghana on 25th February 2013.

The spirit of the holy Quran and Iran’s National Anthem was a great starting point to the meeting before TUMS chancellor took the podium to deliver his welcome message. “I would like to use this opportunity to congratulate the Persian New Year. It’s the exact time to renew our friendships and collaborations. I want to reiterate that TUMS welcomes students from all around the world,” said Dr. Mansouri, TUMS chancellor.

Dr. Kheradmand, TUMS Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs rendered his acknowledgment to all the guests, specially the honored ambassadors and representatives of countries. He reviews the history of TUMS and the recent international achievements of the university.

Having discussed different issues considering accreditation, international collaboration, international students, recruitment and admissions, educational and research activities at postgraduate level, the meeting came to an end with international students’ comments and suggestions.
