TUMS Signs Memorandum of Cooperation with the Lebanese University

 

During this visit that took place from 3rd to 5th December, 2018, explaining the academic position of the university in the region, the move towards third-generation universities and the development of educational and research cooperation with the universities and scientific centers of Lebanon was considered.

 

Dr. Kordi also added that the meetings led to the signing of an MoC between the two universities. He described the implementation of the joint Ph.D. course between the two universities as the most important subject agreed by the parties in the memorandum.He described the exchange of professors and students and the implementation of collaborative research projects as other areas of prospective cooperation.

 

Dr. Kordi introduced the Lebanese University as the largest university in the country with over 80,000 students, who are chosen from top students, while the university has various faculties, such as Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Sciences and Technology.In addition, he mentioned the fact that as of 2018, there are 18 Lebanese students at TUMS and issue of increasing the admission rate of Lebanese students at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and establishment of agentship in Lebanon was also highlighted in the meetings.
